BUTUAN CITY – One-hundred eighteen police officers from the Police Regional Office-13, PRO-10 (Northern Mindanao), and PRO-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region successfully completed a 19-day Vital Installation Security and Protection Course (VISPC) in Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez here on Tuesday, March 26.

PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said the VISPC, which started on February 26, had a combination of discussions and practical exercises on possible scenarios where vital installation security and protection are applicable.
Two classes composed of 118 police officers finished the course, she added.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft led the virtual closing ceremony of VISCPC Classes 03 and 04-PSPG-2023.
Highlight was the awarding of participants who excelled throughout the course.
From VISPC Class 03-PSPG-2023, Chief Master Sgt. Jey D. Cuevas from PRO-10 was recognized as the top performing student, followed by Police Capt. Arnold Q. Bauden from Police Security Protection Group-13 and Staff Sgt. Rudel Mae F. Barluado of PRO-13.
Executive Master Sgt. Benjamin M. Casas was No. 1 in Class 04-PSPG 2023, followed by Chief Master Sgt. Jovanie John Bon B. Sabas and Major Rannel C. Cayas.
Team 6 led by Col. Laudemer M. Laude, Surigao del Norte police chief, and Team 1 led by Col. Ruben B. delos Santos, Dinagat Islands police director, were adjudged as the best teams.
Lt. Col. Christian L. Rafols, Lt. Col. Rhandy O. Amaro, Major Julius Carlos Belmes, and Capt. Arnold D. Formento received individual leadership awards for being the marchers and presidents of the two classes.
In his message, Kraft encouraged participants to always display acts of courage and always maintain leadership by example.
“Always display acts of courage even under unusually difficult or dangerous circumstances,” he said. “It paramount that you have the expertise in all aspects of personal protection for individuals and the courage to face the danger head-on.”
