P3.4 M shabu seized from young man in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY - About 500 grams of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 10 here on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental and the police carried out the operation that resulted in the arrest of Noel Palacios, 22, of Barangay 3 here.

According to PDEA, they subjected Palacios to a drug bust after they received information about his alleged engagement in the illegal drug trade.

The PDEA said that Palacios alleged that he was instructed by someone to get the illegal drugs in Barangay Sum-ag and deliver it to Barangay 2 here.

Palacios’s claims will be subjected for validation, according to PDEA.

The suspect is considered a newly-identified individual and also a high value individual due to the huge volume of drug recovery, the PDEA said.

The suspect is detained at Police Station 1 while waiting for the filing of appropriate charges.
