John Ford Coley embarks on Asia-wide tour
MANILA, Philippines -- He has made his presence felt not only in the Philippines which he visits almost every year, but in other Asian countries as well. And now singing legend John Ford Coley is embarking anew on an Asian concert tour in line with the promotion of his latest CD “Greatest Hits Unplugged.”
Tomorrow, Nov. 5, John Ford will have a performance at the Max Pavi-lion in Singapore, and on Nov. 7, he will be at Hard Rock Café in Penang. He’ll be in Manila for a show at the Midas Hotel ballroom on Nov. 10, and at the Casino Filipino-Mimosa Clark on Nov. 11. His Manila series of shows will culminate on Nov. 15 with a concert at the Newport Theater.
Performing with John Ford is the Zoo Band of which international artist Arnel Pineda was once a member. Special guest is Ramon “RJ” Jacinto.

With his numerous shows staged locally through the years, it is no wonder that John Ford Coley could amass a great following among Pinoy fans who love listening to his beautiful songs. We’ve watched some of his performances and have enjoyed listening to him.
Such songs include, among others, “Love Is The Answer,” “Part Of Me, Part Of You,” “Gone Too Far,” “We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again.”
While in the Philippines sometime ago, John Ford Coley recorded a live concert featuring his hit songs that is now available on the Net.
‘Dalaw’ banners Cinema One Sindak
The Cinema One Halloween event Sine Sindak 2011 bannered the horror flick “Dalaw” and as expected, a spooky ambience elicited the loudest screams from viewers who flocked to Mercato Centrale for the event. “Dalaw” stars Kris Aquino and Diether Ocampo.
Cinema One Sine Sindak, now on its fourth year, was the scariest yet happiest Halloween Party of the Year, with celebrities and members of the press in attendance.
Amazing performances, fun games and exciting prizes jazzed up the screening night. Guests also came in their scariest Halloween costumes.
Cinema One is available on SkyCable Gold, SkyCable Silver and other cable operators nationwide.
Celebs grace BlackBerry 7 launch
Despite the nasty weather that day, some of the country’s most sought-after celebrities made it to the Ayala Museum in Makati to witness Research in Motion’s preview of the latest smartphones powered by BlackBerry 7, including the BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Torch 9860, and BlackBerry Curve 9360.
Among those who graced the event were Angelica Panganiban, Borgy Manotoc, Carlos Celdran, Georgina Wilson, Ilac Diaz, Isabelle Daza, Nadine Samonte, Paolo Bediones, Paul Soriano, Phoemela Baranda, RJ Ledesma, and Tricia Centenera. Catered by Cibo di M of Margarita Fores, who’s an avid BlackBerry user herself, the event was hosted by Bianca Valerio.
