NPA rebel wanted for murder nabbed in Negros

BACOLOD CITY – A member of the New People’s Army (NPA) who is wanted for two crimes in Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental was arrested on Friday, Feb. 3.

The NPA rebel was identified as Remark Kisan, 27, of Barangay Carabalan, Himamaylan City.

According to the police, Kisan is an alleged courier and tour duty officer of Sentro De Gabridad (SDG) Platoon, Mount Cansermon Command, Central Negros 2.

He was arrested on an arrest warrant for murder with no bail recommended.

The warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 55 in Himamaylan City dated March 22, 2022.

The following day, police also served him another arrest warrant for attempted murder with no bail recommended by the same court on March 22, 2022.
