More than 40 contract artists of Viva Communications Inc. lent their star power to the opening of the milestone 50th branch of Botejyu Philippines at the Venice Grand Canal Mall.
A sister company of Viva, Botejyu is an international restaurant franchise that prides itself of being home of "Authentic Japanese Traditional Cuisine." It traces its roots to Osaka, Japan where it introduced the idea of topping okonomiyaki with mayonnaise. And the rest is history.
The Viva stars were a sight to behold as they rode gondolas in order to get to the main stage in the Central Canal area of the mall.

Wilbert Ross and Marco Gallo hosted a short program which also saw Lyca Gairanod belting out her cover of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep." Afterwards, there was a sake toast and ceremonial cutting of the okosaba dish led by Vicente Raphael “VR” del Rosario IV, senior vice-president for Viva International Food & Restaurants, Inc. He was joined by other executives of Botejyu and Megaworld.
“We are inspired, more than ever, to continuously bring safe, quality, and healthy Japanese comfort food as far as we can,” the young Del Rosario said. He added that aside from the 50th branch in Venice Grand Canal Mall, Botejyu will also be opening in Market Market, SM Lucena, SM Daet, SM San Pablo, and Robinsons San Pablo in the next few months.
Some of the Viva stars spotted at the opening were Ara Mina, Lara Morena, Patricia Javier, Katya Santos, Andrea Del Rosario, Ronnie Liang and Lance Raymundo.

Likewise, there were young stars from P-pop groups, Andre Yllana, Debbie Garcia, Quinn Carrillo, Ava Mendez, McCoy de Leon, Phoebe Walker, Andrew Muhlach, Fros Sandoval, Jiad Arroyo, Valder Alo, Migo Valid and Jehramae Trangia, to name just a few.
The stars and the invited guests feasted on Botejyu favorites like sashimi, sushi, chicken karaage, gyoza, Japanese salad, tempura and other delectable dishes which flowed freely at the buffet.
