House Speaker Martin Romualdez has vowed to continue leading the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in different parts of the archipelago despite the negative comments that he has heard about it.
Romualdez was in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro Saturday, March 9 to launch the two-day affair. He is among the main proponents of the BPSF.
“Ito ang pangako ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos, patuloy tayong mag-iikot at maghahatid ng tulong hanggang sa marating natin ang bawat sulok ng Pilipinas. Hinti tayo titigil kahit anumang pambabatikos at pangungutya ang ibato sa atin,” the leader of the 300-plus-strong House of Representatives declared.
(This is President Bongbong Marcos' promise, we will continue to make rounds and deliver assistance until we reach every corner of the Philippines. We won't stop even of they criticize or ridicule us.)
Launched simultaneously at multiple locations nationwide on Sept. 23, 2023, the BPSF is an all-encompassing service caravan. Think of a government one-stop shop, but on steroids.
“Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, sa kasaysayan ng ng ating bansa, si President Bongbong Marcos lang ang nakagawa ng ganitong klaseng programa,” Romualdez said.
(For the first time in the country’s history, President Bongbong Marcos conceived a program like this.)
The BPSF in Oriental Mindoro, the very first in Mimaropa or Region IV-B, is the 13th installment of the service caravan. It was hosted by Oriental Mindoro 1st district Rep. Arnan Panaligan together with Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor.

It followed the one held in Sultan Kudarat, where a total of 150,000 citizens were served and over P1.2 billion in government aid, services, and programs were rolled out.
Roughly the same worth of assistance is expected to be doled out in Oriental Mindoro once the BPSF concludes there on Sunday.
After the BPSF in Oriental Mindoro, the service caravan is scheduled to go to Region XIII in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte next week, and then visit the following areas in the near future: La Trinidad, Benguet in the Cordillera Autonomous Region; Zamboanga City in Region IX; and Tawi-Tawi in BARMM.
