Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero vowed to expedite the return of shipments of solid waste to South Korea following a protest action staged by pro-environment groups.

(BOC / MANILA BULLETIN) Atty. Erastus Sandino Austria, Customs spokesperson said the Collection District of Cagayan de Oro has already initiated talks with the South Korean government to fast track the reexportation of the over 50 containers of waste which came from Pyeongtaek City, South Korea. Port of CDO District Collector Floro Calixihan said that the Republic of South Korea, through an email, assured that it will block similar shipments in the future and vowed to cooperate with the Philippine government.
