John Ford Coley in big concert tonight at Newport Theater

MANILA, Philippines -- Singing legend John Ford Coley once more serenades his Pinoy fans with his signature songs when he performs tonight at the Newport Theater of Performing Arts at Resorts World Manila with the Zoo Band and Ramon “RJ” Jacinto.
Hopefully, this time he won’t run out of songs like what happened last Nov. 4 at the Max Pavilion in Singapore. His Singaporean fans kept on requesting for more and he gladly obliged but before he knew it, John said he had no more songs to sing!
After the concert John had to sign autographs for hundreds of fans. He said his fingers got numbed but didn’t mind of course.
Tonight at the Newport Theater, John will be singing the same songs that catapulted him to fame like “Just Tell Me You Love Me,” “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight,” “Simone,” “It’s Sad to Belong,” “Longer,” “Soldier In The Rain,” “We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again,” “Love Is The Answer,” “Part Of Me, Part Of You,” and “Nights Are Forever Without You.”
John has visited the Philippines many times in the recent past. While here, he even recorded a live concert featuring many of his hit songs.
He also appeared in various TV shows in the US such as “The Tonight Show,” “Merv Griffin Show,” “David Soul & Friends,” “Dinah,” “American Bandstand,” “Hollywood Squares,” “Make Me Laugh” and “Prime Time Country.” He also hosted “The Midnight Special” and co-hosted “The Mike Douglas Show.”
Some of John’s TV and movie theme songs written and/or performed include “Just Tell Me You Love Me,” “Dr. Pepper,” “Major League, Back To The Minors,” “Joe Panther,” “The Spy Within,” “Cold Case” and “Maxwell House Coffee” with the late Paul Newman.
John’s Philippine concerts are presented by Steve O’Neal Productions, San Miguel Corp., Midas Hotel, Resorts World Manila and Manila Bulletin.
