BOC sees P15-M revenues from auction sale of sugar, other goods at MICP on Nov. 22

Patinio MANILA, Nov. 12 (PNA) -- The Bureau of Customs (BoC) is set to earn some Php 15 million from the public auction sale of sugar and other items including a used high-end motorcycle from the public auction to be held on Nov. 22 at the Manila International Container Port (MICP). According to MICP's Auction and Cargo Disposal Division 17 lots of various goods will be on sale amounting to Php15,361,000. The goods up for bidding include two forty footer (2x40) containers of white sugar and Richboss synthetic black shoes with a floor price of Php 2,040,040; three twenty footer (3x20) containers of refined sugar from Thailand, pegged at Php 1,793,750; and five twenty footer (5x20) containers of wheat flour, pegged at Php 1,323,600. Other merchandises include one forty footer (1x40) container of various bags, wallets and shoes, at Php 2,990,600; twenty four twenty footer (24x20) containers of angle bars, at Php 1,218,000; four forty footer (3x40) containers of steel angle bars, at Php 178,786; and two twenty footer (2x20) containers of hot dipped galvanized steel coil in sheet, at Php 1,385,760. Likewise, included are used terrain vehicle; used 2005 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle; school supplies and calculators; household goods and personal effects; foamboard; vacuum excavator; parts for paper making machine; used farming machine and parts; glassware; and refrigerant gas R22. The BoC said the public viewing of merchandise and pre-bid conference is on Nov. 18 and 21 at the Conference Room, Office of the District Collector, MICP.
