Xdinary Heroes: 'Thank you Manila, stay awesome'

Korean rock band Xdinary Heroes held their “Break the Brake” world tour in Manila and thanked Filipino fans for their support. 

“Villains [fans] in Manila. Your energy created a memorable show. Until the next time, stay awesome!” Xdinary Heroes posted on X after finishing the show on March 23 at the New Frontier Theater.

Xdinary Heroes, composed of Gaon, Jun Han, Jooyeon, Gunil, Jungsu and O.de, started their set with “Freddy” followed by “Come into My Head,” “Knock Down,” “Checkmate” and “Test Me.”

They also performed “Hair Cut,” “Enemy,” “Man in the Box,” “Ghost,” “Dear H,” “Good Enough,” “Paranoid,” “Bad Chemical,” “Freakin’ Bad,” “Sucker Punch!,” “Strawberry Cake,” “Pirates,” “Bicycle,” “Break The Brake,” “Again? Again!,” “Pluto,” “X-Mas” and “Happy Death Day.” 

In addition, Xdinary Heroes also did covers of Stray Kids’ “Hellevator” and DAY6’s “Shoot Me.” 

The world tour served as Xdiary Heroes’ second visit to Manila. They made their debut performance in the country during a show in October 2022 at Araneta Coliseum. 

“This is our second visit to Manila. Even during the first visit, the energy was so great. We are looking forward to our second visit but you are the best,” said Jun Han. 

About the title of their world tour  “Break the Brake,” Gunil said, “Just like the title itself, it shows Xdiary Heroes will just be breaking everything moving forward. And, of course, in that journey, you guys are included.”

Jungsu noted the fans’ warm reactions during the show. 

“I’ve been to Manila the last time but your energy today is really explosive,” he said. 

Jooyeon added, “We are so thankful for your energy.”

After covering “Hellevator,” Gaon said, “It seems that every we do a cover on stage, it’s that you will like it more our cover performances.”

“Because of you Villains, we get a lot of energy. Your energy is solid,” said Gunil.

Xdinary Heroes thanked the audience for coming to the show. 

“Actually, we are far apart. The upbringing and lifestyle are also different. But our feelings are the same when we are together. That expression seems cool. You think we’re one today, am I right? We’ll be waiting also that we can meet again in the future.To meet again as quick as possible, you should be healthy and safe. I also love you very much and I really, really missed you. Thank you for the unforgettable memories today. See you again,” said Jooyeon. 

O.de said, “The six of us can stand here and jump around it’s all because of you guys, Villains. By saying there is no forever, it seems that when we are with you, there is forever. Because of you and because of my belief that there is forever, I can give my all so I can give memories until the last breath of my life. Also for you guys, we would love to see you guys watching us grow together. Not only this time but in the future, we have prepared a lot of good memories. We have planned out something to look forward to. Because of this, I love you. I love you!” 

“Thank you Manila! Hope to see you again soon!” Xdinary Heroes' Gunil posted on X after the show.
