MANILA, Philippines — In Star Cinema’s smash hit romantic comedy “Catch Me I’m In Love,” the tandem of Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson was proven formidable.

Although they are not an “item” in real life, movie fans accepted them as lovers on the screen and even Kimerald fans supported their team-up, for which Gerald expressed delight “kasi sobrang support nila and I’m so happy for this.”

In “Catch Me I’m In Love,” Gerald played a rich boy and Sarah, a middle-class girl but their love for each other knew no sociology-economic boundaries. There were many “kilig” moments in this film but fans will get even more in “Won’t Last A Day Without You,” their second team-up movie. It’s another romantic comedy but the director, Raz dela Torre, said the stars gave their roles a different attack.

The movie also stars Joey de Leon, who said he accepted the role as Sarah’s father because he is a big fan of the singer-actress; and John Lapus.

Sarah plays DJ Heidee who dishes out pieces of advice to the lovesick, a role she said was totally different from her past roles. “Very challenging at nahirapan talaga ako sa pagiging DJ.”

On the other hand, Gerald plays Andrew, an easy-go-lucky playboy who treats girls as playthings. Gerald finds himself a “love victim” when he hears his “kalokohan” being broadcast nationwide on DJ Heidee’s program.

“Won’t Last A Day Without You” is Star Cinema and Viva Films’ pre-Christmas offering and it opens today, Nov. 30.
