GOSSIP GIRL: Small Laude to celebrate her one million YouTube followers

When big stars in the Philippines reach one million followers on YouTube, they usually buy balloons that spell one million and take a picture and post in their social media accounts. That’s because they are not Small Laude. When Small reached one million followers, the ultrarich socialite booked one of the biggest event places in Metro Manila - the SM Samsung Hall, which can fit around 2,000 people to celebrate her one million followers.

I was able to get an exclusive interview with one of the richest women in the Philippines, and she is very excited about her event this coming Saturday/. "Of course, I booked only the best venue for my followers. I wanted to book the Quirino Grandstand kaso wala pala aircon doon baka magmantika ako. "No bashing, seriously speaking, this coming June 18 will also be my birthday. My followers gave me the best gift of them all, their love, so I wanted to return the love they gave by holding a big birthday celebration with them. I titled the event '1 Million Laughs' because each follower of mine would definitely laugh at least once in any of my vlogs, of course, ako pa! So one million followers equals a minimum of one million laughs. Tama ba ang math ko? No bashing. I invited many celebrity friends like Karyll, Mariel, Francine Diaz, and the Beks Batallion (Chad Kinis, MC Muah and Lassy Marquez). Of course, this event will be hosted by the best host in the Philippines, Giselle Sanchez!”

My eyes popped like the ones you see in the cartoons. I suddenly checked my schedule on June 18, and luckily it was still free, so I agreed to host her event, which she asked impromptu while I was interviewing her. This lady is unbelievable. She always gets what she wants. Maybe that’s her magic. Maybe that’s why her fans love her. 

The reason why I particularly love her is her kindness and generosity. Before Small was big, when she was still small like her name, Small already had a big heart. She always wanted to help people, that is the reason why we launched “Small Saturdays” during the pandemic. Through the generosity of her businessman husband, Philip Laude, the candy magnate of the Philippines, we were able to feed 200 homeless people every week in Quezon City. I introduced Small to the Daughters of Saint Anne, and they collaborated to create Small Saturdays, a feeding program every Saturday to help the hungry, especially during the pandemic. This coming Saturday, the socialite turned philanthropist is giving a check to the daughters of Saint Anne amounting to P100,000.00 extending the feeding program for 20 more weeks. The Daughters of Saint Anne will not be the only beneficiary, several other institutions and beneficiaries will also experience “Small’s Love,” including hairstylist  Marcky Bernardino who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease. “Of course, let us not forget my followers. I will have raffle prizes and games with cash prizes for them. Followers lang ha. No bashers," said Small.
