CAVITE – Governor Jonvic Remulla warned that he might be forced to revert back to stricter quarantine measures after Caviteños came in droves to malls the day after enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was downgraded in the province.

"Sa ganyan ugali ay baka higpitan ko muli ang ikot ng tao, restricted to those essential only. Pagaaralan ko po, depende kung tumaas bigla ang bilang ng COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) sa Cavite," he added. He appealed to the public not to abuse the system being implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Meanwhile, Remulla has met with Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas regarding transit policies between their two provinces. Residents and workers from both provinces will be allowed to cross borders as long as they show valid company and residential IDs. However, with Nasugbu currently on lockdown, boundaries between Cavite and Batangas in Alfonso, Magallanes, at Kaybiang will also be closed. Remulla is also set to meet with Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez about an inter-province transit agreement between their provinces.
