Mandaluyong bettor wins P28.4M Lotto jackpot

By Jel Santos  Just days after the P80.7 million jackpot of Grand Lotto 6/55 was won, a lone bettor from Mandaluyong City bagged the P28.4 million jackpot of Lotto 6/42 during Saturday night’s draw. Its total jackpot was P28, 481, 693. 80. In accordance with the TRAIN Law, the jackpot will be subjected to 20 percent tax. The government will therefore deduct around P5.6 million from the total jackpot. Meantime, PCSO said 28 bettors fell a digit short from bagging the jackpot. They will get P25, 000 each, but it will also be subjected to 20 percent tax. To claim his/her cheque, the bettor must go to PCSO's main office in Mandaluyong City, and present two IDs. Also, he/she should bring the winning ticket. Garma said that 2020 seems to be a good year for the loyal Lotto bettors, saying it’s just the start of the year and the agency already produced two millionaires. “It seems that this is a lucky year for our bettors. Just imagine, the P80.7 million jackpot of Grand Lotto was just bagged last January 8, and now we have our second millionaire for the year,” she said. The PCSO general manager urged the public to continue patronizing their products as the PCSO started providing money to fund the Universal Health Care (UHC) this year. “Help us help our kababayans in dire need by patronizing our products, especially now that PCSO will be funding the UHC this 2020. Each time you buy our products, think of it as if you are donating to charity with a chance of becoming a millionaire,” Garma said.
