More Schools
ABUCAY, Philippines — More covered courts and school buildings are in the pipeline and up for construction in the province’s first district, a top provincial official revealed Sunday.
This was revealed by Provincial Board member Dexter Dominguez, popularly known as “Teri Onor” in the movie industry, who said that he prioritizes the said projects following requests from youths in his district.
Dominguez has become more popular in Bataan’s First district, particularly among the youth for initiating the construction of various Covered courts and school buildings.
Teri Onor has probably used his access and popularity in the movie industry in seeking funds for various infrastructure projects in his district from senators and congressmen who are also very supportive to Bataan’s progress and development. (Mar T Supnad)
Founding Anniversary
CAVITE, Philippines — General Trias town in this province is celebrating its 263rd founding anniversary with month-long activities, which included social and cultural presentations, for its citizens at the municipal plaza.
The highlight of the celebration is the Second Valenciana Festival which will showcase Paella Valenciana, a special cuisine of Gentriseños inherited from Spaniards during the early times. The festival is set at 2 p.m. tomorrow (December 13).
The day's other activities are the wreath-laying ceremony at General Trias Monument in Poblacion and street dancing and the night fireworks display. (Anthony Giron)

SUBIC, Philippines (PNA) — Members of the new board of directors of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) continue their landmark program to consult with stakeholders in the Subic Bay Freeport area in order to synergize development efforts with neighboring communities.
The SBMA directors, who are members of the SBMA’s “Project Unity” committee, recently met with Subic municipal mayor Jefferson Khonghun to discuss concerns in the local community, including the agency’s relationship with local government units (LGUs).
“This is an opportunity to get to know you, and for you to get to know us as well,” SBMA director Bienvenido Benitez, who is Project Unity chairman, told Khonghun during the recent meeting.
Christmas Bonus
MANILA, Philippines — Inclined with the spirit of Christmas, Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda disclosed Sunday that at least P40,000 for each employees will receive their Christmas bonus anytime next week.
The lady governor made the announcement to the more than 2,000 provincial state workers during the “Aldo ding Empleyadu” (employees day celebration), which is one of the highlights of 440th Pampanga Day Celebration at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, City of San Fernando, which slated December 6 to 11, this year. (Franco G. Regala)
Facility Expands
CLARK FREEPORT, Philippines — Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) the only tire manufacturing facility in the Philippines announced Sunday its expansion project to increase production and operations here with an additional investment of P27 billion or $600 million.
Mr. Ariel Matias, YTPI section head of Public Relations and General Services Section said that upon completion, the extension of Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) manufacturing plant will result to a significant increase in production capacity. (Franco G. Regala)
