Man arrested for stabbing foe with broken soft drink bottle in Port Area, Manila
A 21-year-old man was arrested for stabbing a man with a broken glass bottle in Port Area, Manila, police said on Tuesday, April 2.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Tony Pangilinan. He was arrested on Sunday, March 31.
Based on the police report, the 22-year-old victim, Roman De Leon, was walking in an alley along 25th Street in Barangay 649 at around 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
Police said the suspect suddenly appeared and immediately stabbed the victim on the left side of his forehead with a broken soft drink bottle.
They said the suspect fled to an unknown direction after the incident.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was engaged in a heated argument and fist fight with the suspect a few hours before the stabbing incident.
The victim said they argued because the suspect refused to join him in a game of “cara y cruz."
The suspect was arrested in Barangay 653 by personnel of the Police Community Precinct (PCP-4).
Police brought him to the MPD-Baseco Police Station (PS-13).
Authorities said that the victim is now in a stable condition while the suspect remained under the custody of PS-13. A frustrated murder charge will be filed against him.
