Housewife drowns on Easter Sunday in Quezon

SAMPALOC, Quezon – A 39-year-old housewife drowned while swimming on a river on Easter Sunday in Barangay Apasan here.

Police identified the victim as Ronalyn Flores, a resident of Barangay Bataan, this town.

Investigation said Flores failed to return home from an Easter Sunday gathering with her husband and neighbors along a river.

Her husband returned to the river and a search operation was launched.

The victim's body was found in far-flung Sitio Mainit, Barangay Apasan by a farmer on Monday, April 1.

She was taken to a hospital here where the doctor declared that Ronalyn died from drowning.

No apparent wounds or any struggle were observed on her body.
