Speeding van kills couple in Bulacan

A couple died after a speeding container van crashed into their tricycle in Barangay Wakas, Bocaue, Bulacan on Monday, April 1.

Police identified the victims as Jenny and Larry Mendoza, residents of Barangay Tambubong, Bocaue.

The accident occurred in front of Intercity Gate 1 on MacArthur Highway in Barangay Wakas at around 1:00 p.m.

Investigation showed the container van reportedly lost its control, hitting the tricycle boarded by the Mendoza couple who just bought a sack in the place.

The van dragged the body of Larry after he fell off the tricycle, while Jenny was thrown into the street.

The driver of the truck is now under the custody of Bocaue police and faces a case of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide.
