The Itchyworms has just made available on vinyl their "After All This Time” album released originally in 2013.
The band -- bassist-singer Kelvin Yu, guitarist-keyboardist-vocalist Jugs Jugueta and drummer-vocalist-keyboardist Jazz Nicolas launched the vinyl at Backspacer Records in Kapitolyo, Pasig last Friday with a short acoustic set that was also broadcast live via Facebook.
They were joined by their two new members, guitarists Mikey Amistoso (of Ciudad) and lead guitarist Weckl Mercado.

Asked why they decided to put out the particular record on vinyl, Jugs explained, “This is our indie album, so wala masyadong hassle (about label permits).”
“Logistically, madali syang gawin, kasi kami yung may-ari ng mga songs,” added Kelvin.
“Yung first kasi na nirelease namin na plaka was yung latest naming, “Waiting For The End To Start,” chimed Jazz. “Tapos we decided, let’s go backwards (and start) i-release sa plaka yung remaining albums namin."
“(Pero) Ang gusto namin na gagawin na plaka is yung next album na,” added Jazz.
Does that mean they’re ready to work on new material sans original band guitarist Chino Singson who has since moved to Canada?

“Chino was able to record his tracks before he left (for Canada),” Jugs injected. “Hindi pa kumpleto, puro Chino tracks pa lang (laughs).”
“We recorded his parts first, '' said Jazz, adding, “makakapag record pa naman kami with him long-distance, virtually.”
“Right now he’s still settling, so hindi pa namin siya bina-bother masyado.”
So how are they coping without their long-time guitarist?
“Mahirap talaga kasi magkakasama kami since college,” said Jugs. “Walang choice eh.”
“Pero swerte pa rin kami because of technology kasi parang hindi siya nawala,” said Kelvin, adding, “nakakapag chat pa rin kami, hindi katulad before, like 10 years ago, ramdam mo talaga. Nakikita pa rin namin siya sa Facebook. Pero iba pa rin yung nandito siya.”
They made clear, though: “He’s still going to be part of the recording, song writing. He’s still part of the band.”
