88% of employees in PCGH get COVID jabs

A total of 465 or 88 percent of the employees at the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) have been given the AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), an official said on Tuesday, March 23.

PCGH Officer-In-Charge Dr. John Victor De Gracia said that there are only 60 or 12 percent of the total number of employees in the hospital who have not yet been vaccinated.

"Out of the 60, meron dyan na 20 na hindi pa pwede bakunahan dahil nagka COVID, may 8 na deferred dahil sa comorbidities, may 12 na nabakunahan na sa ibang ospital, at may 20 na talagang ayaw magpabakuna (Out of the remaining 60 employees, 20 are not allowed to be vaccinated after being infected with COVID-19, eight were deferred due to comorbidities, 12 were vaccinated in other hospitals, and there are 20 who really do not want to be vaccinated)," De Gracia said.

The PCGH ris at full capacity as of 7 a.m., according to the Pasay Public Information Office, with 34 COVID-19 patients, 26 of whom exhibit moderate symptoms, while eight are critical/severe cases.

Its Emergency Room remains open for non-COVID-19 patients.
