CEB to start Kalibo-HK flights

MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific (CEB) will commence direct Kalibo-Hong Kong flights on March 23, 2012, and launches it with an P8 seat sale. The sale is from January 9-12, 2012 or until seats last, for travel from March 23 to June 30, 2012.

The thrice weekly Kalibo-Hong Kong service is CEB’s first direct international route from Kalibo International Airport, gateway to the world-renowned Boracay Island. Utilizing one of CEB’s brand-new Airbus jet aircraft, the flight is set to depart Kalibo at 2:35 p.m. and arrive in Hong Kong at 5:05 p.m. The return flight leaves Hong Kong at 5:50 p.m. and arrives in Kalibo at 8:20 p.m.

“CEB continues to contribute to Philippine tourism by providing Hong Kong nationals and foreign tourists direct flights to Boracay. Similarly, it provides residents from Western Visayas the fastest way to Hong Kong, CEB’s most popular international destination,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

The airline also holds an all-international seat sale for travel from February 1 to April 30, 2012. This includes P888 seats from Manila to Brunei, Kota Kinabalu or Xiamen; from Clark to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau, or Singapore; or, from Cebu to Hong Kong.

Passengers can also buy P1,288 seats from Manila to Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore or Taipei. This is also available on flights from Cebu to Singapore.

P1,888 seats are also up for grabs from Manila to Bangkok, Beijing, Busan, Incheon, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, or Shanghai; and from Cebu to Busan or Incheon.

“Direct flights from strategically placed hubs in the Philippines bring our passengers to their destinations faster. CEB remains consistent in offering the fastest and most convenient flight options to guests, especially with its expansion in Asia,” Iyog said.

The airline is slated to begin direct flights from Manila to Hanoi on March 17, 2012, and from Manila to Xiamen on March 23, 2012.

To further boost its tourism agenda, guests on international flights can also avail of a select domestic seat sale as low as P400. This is for travel from February 1 to March 31, 2012.

Passengers can buy P400 seats from Manila to Bacolod, Busuanga, Calbayog, Catarman, Caticlan, Cauayan, Cebu, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Kalibo, Laoag, Legazpi, Naga, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Jose, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Tuguegarao or Virac.

P400 seats are also available on flights from Cebu to the following destinations: Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Clark, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Surigao, Tacloban or Zamboanga. The same fare is up for grabs on flights from Cagayan de Oro to Iloilo, from Davao to Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo or Zamboanga; and from Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi.

Those traveling from Manila to Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, General Santos, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Surigao or Zamboanga can buy P700 seats.

CEB currently operates 10 Airbus A319, 19 Airbus A320 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. By the end of 2011, CEB will be operating a fleet of 37 aircraft – with an average age of 3.6 years – one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take an additional 23 Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
