CAMP NAKAR, Lucena City – The Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) has recorded a total of 1,582 violators of the Enhanced Community Quarantine and Executive Order 21, an order placing the Province of Quezon under Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine in view of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Col. Audie Madrideo, provincial director of QPPO said that those who were apprehended violated of RPC Art. 151 “Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority or the Agents of such Person,” RA 11332 - Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act, Illegal Gambling, Direct Assaults, Alarms and Scandals, BP 6, Price Act and RA 9711, Attempted and Frustrated Homicide/Murder, Grave Threats, Oral Defamation, RA 11489, Illegal Gambling, RA 10591, RA 10175, Malicious Mischief, PD 1829, RPC Art 212, Traffic Code, Unjust Vexation and Usurpation of Authority, while 236 individuals violated the curfew hours.
Madrideo warned the public that there will be no more warnings for ECQ violators. They will be immediately arrested and inquest procedures will be applied for violations of Republic Act 11469, 11332, as well as Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code.
He added that that QPPO will strictly enforce quarantine measures set forth by the IATF and Joint Tasks Force CV SHIELD until the ECQ is lifted.
