Shalani-Roman wedding security assured
CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, Imus, Cavite, Philippines — The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) has assured the security for the much-awaited January 22 wedding of Valenzuela City Councilor and television emcee Shalani Soledad and Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo at Saint Benedict Church in Silang town.
The Church in Barangay Inchican is expected to be filled to the brim with guests and spectators when Shalani and Roman exchange “I do’s” in what was deemed as the “Wedding of the Year.”
Both Senior Superintendent John C. Bulalacao, director of PPO director, and Superintendent Simnar Gran, chief of police of Silang, assured the church and road security come wedding day.
“There will be a preparation made on the part of the police as far as the wedding security is concerned,” said Bulalacao although he has to see yet the wedding details.
Gran said that the police are keeping Silang a peaceful and safe town considering the prominent individuals and foreign and local tourists who frequent the area.
Silang and neighboring Tagaytay City are where the best retreat places are. Many people fell in love with the Church of Saint Benedict because of the vicinity's solemnity and serenity.
A report said that some 400 invited guests are expected to witness the vow exchange of Shalani and Roman. Those who will stand as “ninongs” and “ninangs” (wedding sponsors) include Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, an ally of President Benigno S. Aquino III who hails from Bayan Luma III, Imus, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Albert del Rosario, House Representative Cynthia Villar and TV5 Network Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan.
