Pampanga power outage set on Saturday
MEXICO, Pampanga, Philippines — Electricity will be cut temporarily Saturday in the towns of Mabalacat, Mexico and some other parts of Pampanga, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) President Cynthia P. Alabanza announced Friday.
Alabanza said the power interruption is due to the removal of two old concrete poles that will affect power supply of the Pampanga I Electric Cooperative (PELCO I) in Barangays of San Nicolas and Pandacaqui in Mexco; PELCO II in Mabiga, Mabalacat; and service areas of the Pampanga Rural Electric Service Cooperative (PRESCO). RIOL officers to take oath
ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal — New officers of the Rizal Information Officers League (RIOL), a group of public information officers (PIOs) representing the 13 municipalities and Antipolo City in this province, are set for induction at the Capitol, here next week.
Rizal Governor Casimiro “Junjun” Ynares III is scheduled to administer the oath of office of newly-elected officers Girlie Singson of the Rodriguez Municipal government as president; Anthony Quejano of Angono, vice president; Rojane Alarcon Pestano of Antipolo, secretary; Fannie Marie Flores of Binangonan, treasurer; and Rolando Vidanes of Pililla as auditor. Bulacan, Bataan top CSC exams
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy Alvarado congratulated Friday passers from Bataan and Bulacan who topped the Career Service Examinations held recently by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in Central Luzon.
Alvarado said, garnering a rating of 87.43 percent was Ezekiel Roel Rodriguez of Balanga, Bataan bested other 754 passers out of the 5,637 who took the Professional Level of the exam; while Michael De Leon of Sta. Maria, Bulacan led the Sub-Professional Level with a rating of 87.26 percent, outfoxing 147 passers out of the 1,165 examinees. (Freddie C. Velez and Franco G. Regala)
DECORP stricter on line inspection
DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — Twelve out of one hundred-twelve registered households in Sitio Silungan, Bonuan Binloc will be imposed a disconnection from electric lines.
This was announced Friday by City Engineer Ma. Virginia Rosario who said the disconnections will be done due to falsification of documents.
After a series of inspections and investigations, the 12 households, Dimla’s Resort included, were disconnected from Dagupan Electric Corporation (DECORP), said Rosario. (Liezle Basa Iñigo)
La Union wins 'Best PESO'
VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur —La Union’s Public Employment Services Office (PESO) won the best PESO provincial category during the culmination of the 2011 Search for Best Performing Public Employment Services Office spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE).
In the PESO Yearend Performance Assessment, the other winners were the following: City of San Fernando, La Union as 2011 Best PESO on city category and Rosales, Pangasinan as 2011 Best PESO on municipal category. DoLE Regional Director Henry John Jalbuena said the winners represented the region in the national search, were selected based primarily on their contribution to the employment goals of the government.
