Trojan Strategy
CAMP GENERAL PANTALEON GARCIA, Imus, Cavite — The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) will launch today the so-called "Oplan Trojan War" which is deemed as the biggest and most active anti-crime operational program set by the Region IV-A police hierarchy for 2012.
Senior Superintendent John C. Bulalacao, director of PPO, will lead the Oplan launching during the 8 a.m. Monday flag ceremony at the historical camp grounds.
Chief Inspector Romulo C. Dimaya, PPO public information officer, said that with the Oplan in place, the police will conduct simultaneous operations with search and arrest warrants in possession in the localities from Monday until Friday (January 23 to 27) for a start and turnover those arrested at the camp at once. Mabalacat Projects
MABALACAT, Pampanga — At least P500 million worth of infrastructure projects in this municipality will spur local economic investment and create job opportunities for the people in Pampanga and nearby provinces in Central Luzon.
This is the objective of Mabalacat Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales for the year 2012. The projects include three-storey building for retail stores; a bus terminal; five-storey Mabalacat Public Market; Triple A slaughterhouse; additional classrooms for public learning institutions, and lighting and beautification of the whole of Mabalacat. Business Centers
MARILAO, Bulacan — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the SM mall chain has renewed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on the opening of Business Centers.
Gladiz May Latiza, SM City information chief, said renewed tieup will make it easy for customers to transact business with the DTI while doing their shopping at the malls. Under the agreement, business owners and operators can file, pay and get their Business Name Registered Certificate in 15 minutes at SM Business Centers.
They can also process their business name registration application, with the help of the new DTI EBRS (Enhance Business Registration System), which allows SM Business Center to process it online and print out your Business Name Registered Certificate in just one click. (Freddie C. Velez)
P.W.D.’S Rights
ANTIPOLO CITY, Philippines — Leaders of the city’s disabled persons are seeking an audience with the city council to air grievances over the alleged neglect of their rights and privileges.
Eljoy Lagan, spokesman of the more than 4,000-member Antipolo Federation of Persons With Disability Inc. (AFPWDI) alleged that some of the local public officials here are disregarding national and local laws intended to protect the persons with disability (PWD).
The AFPWDI claimed public officials were violating City Ordinance 2011-447 establishing a PWD affairs office.
They said they were recently evicted from their office at the Gender and Development Center Building near the City Hall late last year. (Nel B. Andrade)
Missing Broilers
CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan — The problem on the missing truck load of broiler chicks have been solved with the arrest of the suspects who allegedly stole it.
Senior Supt. Arnold D. Gunnacao, Bataan police director, said a team led by Supt. Allan Macapagal swooped down on the hideouts of the suspects in barangays San Ramos and Pita, resulting to the arrest of Charlene R. Pineda and her mother Emily Grace Ranska; Arthem Ranska and Ian David Ranska. (Mar T. Supnad)
