MANILA, Philippines — Like wine that gets better in taste as it ages, Cesar Montano is an artist who embodies that saying in his showbiz career.

Looking younger than his age too, it doesn’t surprise me either if he still attracts lots of younger “female admirers.”

One such admirer is his leading lady in “Hitman,” Sam Pinto.

When asked if she found Cesar sexy, she replied without hesitation, “Cesar is sexy and is a very handsome guy!”

This time around though, I’m surprised that Cesar, who’s been known to be a ladies’ man throughout his career, has not been linked romantically to Sam. “Feeling ko hindi niya ako pagseselosan. I met Sunshine once. And I read one of her interviews and she’s very confident about me,” said Sam.

Cesar explained that during his movie’s casting, his actress wife Sunshine Cruz approved of Sam as his leading lady.

“Sunshine also finds Sam sexy and bagay sa role,” quipped Cesar.

This is Sam’s first time to work with the awarded actor, and she said that more than his looks, she was awed by Cesar’s involvement and passion in the making of “Hitman.”

Also in “Hitman” are Phillip Salvador, Ricky Davao, Mark Herras, Cesar’s son Diego Loyzaga Montano, Joko Diaz, Rommel Montano.

By the way, Cesar has other co-production ventures with Viva Films. One is entitled “Getting to America,” which he is co-writing with Hollywood scriptwriter Donald Martin.

“Muziklaban” is the headquarters of top Pinoy rock bands Slapshock, Greyhoundz, Kjwan, Wilabaliw and Razorback, and home of the new generation of rock gods Mayonnaise, Ibarra, Gayuma, Even, Hatankaru, and Light of Luna who all won the Red Horse Beer Muziklaban Grand Champion title.

Now on its 13th year, “Muziklaban” will bring together five finalists: Curbside, Mind of Clay, Zephaniah, Leviticus and David vs Goliath.

The Grand Finals of “Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban Rock Challenge” is happening tomorrow, Jan. 28, at the Aseana City Macapagal Boulevard, Parañaque City.
