CEU Sportsfest returns from a two-year hiatus

The anticipated Sportsfest of Centro Escolar University returns for the first time in two years on March 4 at the CEU North Quadrangle. Opening ceremonies will be held from 7 a.m. to 12 noon with the theme “One Goal, One Dream, One Team.” Highlighting the opening ceremonies would be the Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest and a dance competition. Sports on tap are volleyball, basketball, table tennis and esports events within the month of March, in time for the closing ceremonies on March 27. This year, the School of Dentistry is the Overall Chair of the Sportsfest led by Dr. Jim Fernandez, Assistant to the Dean, Student Affairs, School of Dentistry and Dr. Mary Iodine Lacanienta, Dean, School of Dentistry, with Dr. Carlito Olaer, Vice President for Student Affairs as Consultant. The University Sportsfest plays a vital role in the overall development of the students, especially their physical health and fitness, while also promoting teamwork and leadership skills among them.
