MANILA, Philippines — President Aquino makes a tourism pitch by officially declaring that “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.”
More sight seeing and investment opportunities in the Philippines, he says.

The President mentions the country’s “more fun” tourism slogan thrice in his speech at Clark, saying tourism will ultimately benefit our people and “bring a more robust and equitably progressive economy.”
In tourism, repetitious promotion is the best policy.

“We are aware of how gifted our country is – from our natural wonders to the inherently welcoming attitude of our people... (and) we plan on capitalizing on these competitive advantages,” P-Noy declares.
How about the impeachment trial as added attraction, Sir?

The Philippine economy, as measured by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), has grown between 3.6 and 4 percent in 2011 and by an estimated 5-6 percent this year, according to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

Based on questioning by Sen. Ralph Recto, prosecutors say that the year the Chief Justice supposedly bought the classy penthouse worth R14 million in The Bellagio in Taguig City, he paid only a withholding tax of R155,556.20 and earned a gross income of only R621,528.62.
