MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino would like to personally meet Korean TV host and DJ Grace Lee who is said the be the apple of the eye of the former's brother, President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

In a taped interview aired on “TV Patrol,” Feb. 1, Kris related, “My ate has met her [Grace]. Hindi ko pa siya nakikilala, but my ate had really nice words to say about her.

“So I’m so looking forward to also meeting her,” said she.

Last week, DJ Mo Twister squealed on Twitter about colleague Grace’s date with the 51-year-old bachelor. Both parties have kept mum about the issue, until Wednesday morning when the president himself confirmed that they "are seeing each other."

A few hours later, Grace affirmed his pronouncement via the GMA News TV show, “Balitanghali.”

Interestingly, the story has already been picked up by foreign media. A day before Grace and PNoy’s admission, South Korea's The Korea Times posted on its website the article, “Is Filipino president in love with Korean woman?” Meanwhile, a photo retweeted by Grace on Thursday morning shows a story ran today by the Singapore's The Straits Times, "Aquino has new Korean girlfriend."

"I'm overwhelmed by the positive, understanding and warm tweets from everyone:) thank you," the Korean TV personality tweeted also on Thursday.

The two met during an event in Cebu on June 2010, which Grace emceed with PNoy in attendance. In his speech, the president called the 29-year old host “gwapa” ("beautiful").

But while Kris is positive about meeting Grace, she sings a different tune when it comes to her ex-boyfriend, Joey Marquez.

Asked to react on her ex’s statement that he is open to the possibility of interviewing her for his show, “Showbiz Inside Report,” Kris simply told “TV Patrol” also on Wednesday, “I’m not.”

Joey recently inked a contract with the Kapamilya network and is set to co-host the program with Carmina Villaroel, Janice de Belen and Ogie Diaz.

Saying that whatever was between them is now “a part of the distant past as far as I’m concerned,” Kris explained that she just doesn’t want “to open up old wounds that are better left healed.”

“I feel that it’ll do neither me nor him any good,” she added.

However, Kris clarified that her refusal connotes “nothing negative” against the comedian-actor.

“I don’t wish him any ill will or anything like that. It’s just na I’ve reached a level of maturity siguro na gusto ko lang ng katahimikan,” she said.

Kris and Joey’s very public and nasty split in 2003 may be remembered for her tearful revelation on national TV where she alleged that she had not only acquired STD (sexually transmitted disease) from him, but that he had also pointed a gun at her.
