Child Prodigy In Concert With Engelbert
MANILA, Philippines — Kris John Paul Gonzales, a Grade 5 student at Maria Montessori in Ayala Alabang, will join AJ Almario, Dax Martin, Angelos, former Sen. Joey Lina and Pilita Corrales as front act in the Engelbert Humperdinck Valentine Show at the Manila Hotel.
Ten year-old boy Kris started to manifest his prowess in operatic, pop and classical singing very early. With his nurturing dad Noel Gonzales who is also a singer and CEO of Muebles Italiano, Kris trained under the best music teachers and went on to perform with his father in various formal occasions and advocacy concerts.
Kris was featured as special guest artist last December in the concert “Christmas Showers of Grace” featuring tenor Sal Malaki with soprano Tricia Amper-Jimenez, under the accompaniment of Strings Unlimited. Kris has also sung more than a few times at special occasions including the party tendered by Gov. Chavit Singson for boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, a fund raising concert at St. James the Great Parish Church Ayala Alabang, concert of Angelos at the Manila Hotel, Music Museum, Teatrino, at the residence of the Ambassador of Russia Anatoli Nebogatov, and at a fundraising event of President Noynoy Aquino, among others.
The boy has for many times mesmerized audiences with his multi-lingual repertoire of Broadway and standard operatic pieces done in perfect English, Tagalog, Italian, French, Swiss, Latin. Aramic, and Spanish.
