MANILA, Philippines — “Broken Vow,” a story of love, betrayal and revenge, premieres today, Feb. 6, as GMA-7’s initial drama offering for 2012. Featured in the network’s afternoon prime block are some of GMA’s prime stars: Bianca King, Gabby Eigenmann, Luis Alandy and Rochelle Pangilinan.

Completing the powerhouse cast are Marco Alcaraz, Juan Rodrigo, Carmi Martin, Matet de Leon, Jace Flores, Pancho Magno, Lou Sison, Melissa Mendez, Kryshee Grencia and Ms. Celia Rodriguez. It is directed by Gil Tejada Jr. and created and written by Dode Cruz.

Bianca said, “Ibang-ibang Bianca King ang makikita ninyo sa show na ito… Ang character ko, dadaan sa physical and emotional abuse, kaya mahirap ang mga eksena ko dito…”

For his part, Gabby said, “In ‘Munting Heredera,’ I was a bad guy as Desmond. This time around, ibang character ang ita-tackle ko, hindi ako villain ngayon.”

Rochelle said, “I’m so happy na binigyan ako ulit ng isang pagkakataon na makasama ang mga magagaling na artista sa GMA.”

“Broken Vow” tells the story of Melissa, an attractive and street-smart woman who becomes the apple of the eye of Roberto, a rich councilor who falls madly in love with the unpretentious probinsiyana. Despite the differences in their status in life, the two manage to keep their relationship strong and even plan to settle down together. But their love affair is suddenly jeopardized when Melissa encounters a horrifying experience.

“Broken Vow” pilot episode airs today right after “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin” on GMA Afternoon Prime.
