Clark Restaurant
CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga--Clark Development Corporation signed a P30 million tourism-related venture which is set to open restaurant venture here.
CDC President Felipe Antonio Remollo said the Pax Americana Food and Leisure, Inc., will open an entertainment and dining complex along the boundaries of Ninoy Aquino Ave. and E. Quirino Streets near the Parade Grounds inside the Freeport.
Remollo signed the agreement with Carlos Basilio, chair of PAFLI, who also owns the former SAX Jazz bar in Angeles City and partner of Gazebo Grille in Clark. The proponent dubbed as “The Station” will be the first of its kind project in Clark. (Franco G. Regala)
Small Entrepreneurs
PAGBILAO, Quezon — Small entrepreneurs will meet on February 9 in a program launching on business incubation that was organized by the provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Quezon, Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS) and Quezon Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council at QNAS function hall, Barangay Silangang Malicboy, this town.
Pablito Budoy of DTI-Quezon said that the small entrepreneurs who are engaged particularly in instant milk and coffee packaging may get an additional information and knowledge in good packing or sealing the said products.
Budoy said that they have availed P1 million from the BMBE development fund to purchase equipment to be used for business incubation program. (Danny Estacio)
No Interruptions
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, (PIA) — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has assured electric cooperatives and member consumers that there will be no major power interruptions foreseen in Luzon for the next few months.
Atty. Cynthia Alabanza, corporate communications officer, said the transmission lines in the electric highways of NGCP are already in place in Luzon and there are no signs and notifications from their technical force for major technical works such as restorations, installations or rehabilitations which might affect the operations of the grid.
Alabanza explained that though major transmission lines are intact, distribution and lateral lines might be affected by unavoidable circumstances, which might cause the reason of some power interruptions.
Bird Rescued
SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, (PIA) — A farmer at Barangay Nagassican in this city has turned over to a local television station here a rare bird which he caught in his farm recently.
The bird identified as a baby owl was seen by Rodrigo Albay while he was working in his farm and he caught it, unaware that it is an endangered species.
Albay said he used to see birds of this kind in his farm but this is the only time that he was able to catch one because the birds are elusive especially to human beings.
Clark Remittance
CLARK FREEPORT — Officials of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) disclosed on Sunday that their state-owned firm is set to turn over dividends amounting to P100 million to the Bureau of Treasury (BOT) at the Department of Finance.
CDC CEO-President Felipe Antonio B. Remollo said, the remittance of dividends is in compliance with Republic Act 7656 which requires government-owned or controlled cooperation to declare dividends under certain conditions to the national government and for other purposes. (Franco G. Regala)
