Nutrition Radio School Graduates Challenged
CATUBIG, Northern Samar, Philippines — Sixty-three mothers from this northernmost-tip town of Samar Island have been challenged to apply into their daily lives what they learned from the radio.
Carina Z. Santiago, regional director of Eastern Visayas National Nutrition Council (NNC), made the challenge to 63 women graduates of Nutrition School-on-the Air, aired over FM station DYNN 97.3 Radyo Kasugbong. She said the many things learned during the course will be of no value if not practiced.
Santiago gave the inspirational message for the dual occasion of the Nutrition School-on-the-Air graduation rites that coincided with Radyo Kasugbong’s first anniversary celebration, held at the covered court of this town on February 1, 2012. She encouraged the graduates to set good examples to members of the family and community in practicing good nutrition.
Giving credit to the station operators she said, “I’m pleased about the many improvements to the station, and happier that those running the station are happy with what they are doing. I’m veryproud of Radyo Kasugbong, but more proud you have a Nutrition School on the Air with many graduates and there is even a valedictorian.”
