MANILA, Philippines — Another batch of distressed workers from Lebanon arrived in the country Tuesday morning after being repatriated by the Philippine government.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration chief Carmelita Dimzon was at the airport to personally meet the 54 repatriates who arrived on board Gulf Air flight GF154 from Lebanon via Bahrain.

The all female batch were mostly distressed workers who ran away from their employers due to maltreatment and non-payment of their wages.
