MANILA, Philippines — Do relationships really need an official status?

For actress Angel Locsin, this title of her upcoming movie “Unofficially Yours” works well for her off-screen.

Angel will celebrate a year of exclusive dating with Azkals member Phil Younghusband. Yet, she still refuses to put a label on what they have.

Recall that the football star expressed via social networking site Twitter on Feb. 10, 2011 his intention to date Angel. The two met on Feb. 13, 2011.

“Walang labels... walang labels. Walang anniversary, walang monthsary,” Angel declared during her film with John Lloyd Cruz’s press conference, Feb. 1.

Nonetheless, Angel thinks being in this kind of set-up is effective because both parties are emotionally unprepared.

“Pero right now, hindi pa talaga kami ready emotionally – siguro, sa trabaho and all. Mas maganda siguro kung pumasok sa relasyon na reding-ready ka na at kaya mo nang ibigay ang lahat mo, di ba, para lang mapaligaya ang taong mahal mo,” she said.

The ever supportive Phil, as Angel described him to be, excites the actress more on what their future together would be.

“We’re happy. Masaya ako na nakakita ako ng tao na mag-aalaga sa’yo, nirerespeto ka, masayang kasama, na-inspire ka at nagbalik ng confidence sa sarili mo ‘di ba? Pero para sa akin malayo pa, hindi pa dito nagtatapos. Marami pang happiness, marami pang mas magandang bagay ang dadating sa amin, mas excited ako sa susunod. Tine-treasure ko kung anong memories namin before, pero ako naniniwala ako na may mas maganda pang mangyayari,” Angel shared.

Angel added that she feels secure with Phil and that her intimate scenes with leading man John Lloyd will not stir any issue at all.

Come Valentine’s Day, Angel assured that she will be with John Lloyd for the premiere of “Unofficially Yours.”
