8 p.m. Saigon vs San Miguel

MANILA, Philippines — The San Miguel Beermen shoot for a fourth win Saturday when they take on the winless Saigon Heat in the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League at the Tan Binh Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Coming off a 94-59 rout of the Bangkok Cobras exactly a week ago, the Beermen hope to make a repeat performance against the Heat tonight in the 8 p.m. game at Vietnam's largest city.

Coach Bobby Parks is not taking any chances against the Heat, who despite a 0-5 record has given their opponents a hard time to pull off wins.

"One thing I've learned in this league is not take any team lightly, especially when they are playing in their homecourt," said Parks, who will rely again on imports Dalron Johnson and Doug Thomas.

SMB is expecting another consistent showing from Froilan Baguion, Leo Avenido, Benedict Fernandez, RJ Rizada and center June Mar Fajardo.

The Beermen must find ways to stop Saigon's prolific import Julius Hodge who is the league’s leading scorer with 25.3 points a game.

Meanwhile, Parks announced yesterday that guard Aries Dimaunahan will join the team in its next game against the Indonesia Warriors on Feb. 18.
