Octogenarian killed by motorcycle in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – An 83-year-old woman died after she was hit by a motorcycle in Barangay San Pedro, Lasam, Cagayan on Monday, April 8.

Police Capt. Leonel Assistores, Lasam deputy chief of police, identified the victim as Marina Urmanita, a resident of Barangay San Pedro.

Assistores said the victim was crossing the road on her way home from visiting a sibling when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by Samuel Quebral, 40, a resident of Barangay Magsaysay, Lasam.

Urmanita sustained head injuries and died in a hospital.

Quebral is under police custody and faces appropriate case.
