Jobs For Cavite Folk Assured
Communication lines at the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Cavite are open for jobless residents in the province on orders of Gov. Jonvic Remulla. Dr. Eva R. Defiesta, PESO manager, said Sunday this is the wish of the governor to help the needy who are willing to work and encourage residents to be self-reliant.
“We have lined up job fairs for residents of the four cit-ies and 19 towns of the province now and then. One of the thrusts of the provincial government is to help everyone get a job,” said Defiesta. (Anthony Giron)
Rizal Kids’ Oral Care Addressed
TAYTAY, Rizal — The provincial government is spearheading various activities for schoolchildren in the province in line with the celebration of the Oral Health Month which kicks off on February 16 at the San Juan Covered Court in Taytay.
Governor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares III said the Dental Section of the Provincial Health Office is supervising the programs and activities in relation to the Oral Health Month of school kids.
Today, the Cabading Elementary School in Antipolo is the venue of the lecture and symposium on oral health intended not only for the elementary school’s children of the school but also for their parents. (Nel B. Andrade)
Two Fires
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan/BACOOR, Cavite — Two fires broke out in Malolos City, Bulacan and Bacoor, Cavite recently. In Malolos, Mayor Christian D. Natividad released cash assistance to fire victims for the immediate reconstruction of their razed houses in Barangay Mambog.
Arson inves-tigators said an over-charged cellphone exploded and sparked the fire that gutted the houses of Florinda Pingol, Soledad De Jesus, Michelle Castro and Leticia Adriano.

Sta. Rosa’s D.I.L.G. Seal Unveiled
STA. ROSA CITY, Laguna — The city government formally unveiled over the weekend its Seal of Good Housekeeping from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas said that the award is a direct result of the continuous effort of the city government to adhere the basic principles of good governance which are transparency, account-ability, participatory and efficient.
The seal is now displayed at City Hall as proof if the local govern-ment’s compliance to the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2010-83 requiring all Local Government Units to show or post in public areas the budget and finance, bids and public offerings. (Ferdinand F. Castro)
Antipolo Cites 4 P.W.D. Athletes
ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal — The city government is set to recognize the achievements of four persons with disability (PWD) who brought honor to the city by winning in a recent sports activity for the physically challenged.
To be awarded by Mayor Danilo Leyble are Vivienne Mercader, gold med-alists for swimming (50 meters backstroke); Mark Gil Aporillo, silver medalist for running, and bronze medalist for long jump; Gerald Calubid, who bagged the silver medal for badminton, singles; and Aquilino Buenaflor who got the silver medal for 50 meters backstroke, and bronzes for 100 meter and 50 meter free style in the swimming competition in the games sponsored by the Philippine Sports Association for the Differently Abled (PHILSPADA) held recently at Marikina Sports Park.
