MANILA, Philippines — Tim Bradley usually punishes himself in training for a fight for eight weeks.

But on June 9 in Las Vegas, Bradley won’t simply be in an ordinary fight as the man on the opposite corner is an extra-special fighter with extra-ordinary talent and not some ordinary guy with ordinary skills.

“Tim told me that he will possibly train ten weeks for this fight,” said Bradley’s manager Cameron Dunkin over the weekend after they formally agreed to the scheduled 12-round world welterweight championship bout at the MGM Grand.

Dunkin said Bradley will be doing the same things in training and holding his camp in the same place in Indio, California, a desert city just a few miles from his home in Palm Springs.

“There won’t be any changes and his team will be there, including his father Ray who will also be his conditioning coach.”

Also lending a hand are trainer Joel Diaz and a doctor who is always on stand-by.

Contrary to what many aficionados believe, Bradley won’t pass out at the mere sight of Pacquiao.

“This will be extremely difficult (for Pacquiao),” said Dunkin, citing that anything can happen in boxing as he rattled off a few impressive wins scored by underdogs.

Although he wouldn’t say it, Bradley is guaranteed a hefty $5 million to face the Filipino, who will get $25 million, his biggest guaranteed purse.
