Engelbert Ends 3-Night Concert Series

MANILA, Philippines — Another impressive crowd is expected to greet Engelbert Humperdinck when he mounts the concert stage of the Smart-Araneta Coliseum tonight (Feb. 15) for the ultimate leg of his three-night Valentine concert tour.
The show brings to a successful close the concert series that kicked off Feb. 12 at the Cebu Waterfront Hotel & Casino, followed by a dinner-show last night (Feb. 14) at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel.
A featured attraction in tonight’s concert is Filipino singer Faith Cuneta, who also opened the Cebu Waterfront Hotel & Casino show. “Asia’s Queen of Songs,” Pilita Corrales, and The Angelos were the special guests at the Manila Hotel concert.
Entitled “Engelbert Humperdinck Live In Manila 2012!,” the musical presentation from Ovation Productions promises a truly memorable evening that bears the hallmarks of a vintage Humperdinck act featuring an awesome array of classic love songs that have captivated millions worldwide.
Dubbed as “King of Romance,” Humperdinck will charm his audience with his smooth baritone, overpowering stage presence, longish wavy hair and trademark long sideburns, endearing sense of humor and mesmerizing charisma with women.
In his deep, powerful voice, he will bring singing as such hits as “Release Me,” “Quando, Quando, Quando,” “The Way It Used To Be,” “Strangers In The Night,” “Where Do I Begin?,” “After The Lovin’,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Spanish Eyes,” “There Goes My Everything,” “Am I That Easy To Forget?,” and many more

Lea Guests In Ingram Show
Lea Salonga will be the special guest in James Ingram’s concert at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum (Feb. 17) and at the Waterfront Hotel Lahug (Feb. 18).
Both Lea and Grammy awardee James Ingram are expected to render beautiful love songs that they have popularized. Ingram is known for his romantic ballads, some of which he will be singing to his Pinoy fans such as “Just Once,” “There’s No Easy Way,” “How Do You Keep The Music Playing,” “I Don’t Have The Heart,” “Somewhere Out There” among others.
The Ingram/Salonga Valentine show is Joed Serrano’s first international concert venture after years of sending Pinoy actors and singers on shows abroad.
Presenting the two-day Valentine show is Joed’s own company, That’s Ntertainment Productions. He told the press how happy he was that he was able to get Lea to be Ingram’s special guest performer. “Hindi pala siya mahirap kausapin,” Joed said.
