ICT Congress Set In Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY, Zambales, Philippines — Students looking for a path to success in the highly-complex world of information technology (IT) are about to get a head start as they meet IT industry leaders in the first-ever Information and Communications Technology (ICT) congress to be held here on February 28. Lead organizers Comteq Computer and Business College and PTT Philippines Foundation said over 1,500 fourth year high school students from almost all public schools all over this province already confirmed their attendance in the event set at the Olongapo City Convention Center. TESDA, for its part, will introduce its new program, the Dual Training System, to congress participants. (Jonas Reyes)

Family Day At RPJ Successful

TAYTAY, Rizal — Family bonding and sportsmanship were highlighted in Tuesday’s Family Day for Detainees of the Rizal Provincial Jail (RPJ), here, warden Wenceslao Ornido said. Children and spouses of the detainees were treated to fun and games in the whole day activity dubbed as 8th Gov. Jun Ynares Cup and Detainees Family Day. With the theme, “Let Us Be Bread, Broken for Others,” the Valentine’s Day celebration for prisoners included games, a Holy Mass officiated by Fr. Wily Gula, from the Parish of Mary Queen of Peace Parish Church, and an inspirational message from the governor delivered by Provincial Administrator Russell Ynares. (Nel B. Andrade)
