Liberty Opens In Bataan Freeport
FREEPORT AREA OF BATAAN, Philippines — Another multi-national company opened shop inside the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), bringing closer to 20 the number of locators venturing into business in this booming town of Mariveles. Leading the inauguration of the new firm was Josefina M. Salvador, First Vice President and General Manager of Liberty Insurance Corporation. Salvador said Mariveles is a good market because of the FAB, where various foreign companies are investing. “We see good opportunity here at the FAB and in Mariveles, that’s why we want people to know that we commit ourselves to providing them the best possible insurance services and requirements,” said Florinda Azul, Liberty Insurance Corp. Dancing, Bazaars Mark HAMAKA Fest
TAYTAY, Rizal — Street dancing parade and bazaars on the major roads of this town marked this weekend’s thanksgiving activities dubbed as HAMAKA Festival 2012. Mayor George Ricardo Gacula led local government officials in the parade of floats and street dancers to mark one of the weekend highlights of the HAMAKA Festival 2012, Araw ng Pasasalamat last Saturday. Gacula said this yearly event, which has been a tradition of the people of this ‘Garments Capital Town” since the early days is held as a thanksgiving for the continuing progress of the town as a center of garment industry. DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced recently that the search for outstanding public officials and employees for year 2012 is on. The CSC announced the opening of the nominations for the prestigious award for government men and women who displayed exemplary conduct of service to the nation. Director Lyrma Oalin of the CSC Field office in Lingayen, this province, said the search is in line with President Benigno S. Laguna Police Cited By DENR
CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna — The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) lauded the Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) in their contribution for various activities and accomplishments in the environment during the flag raising ceremony, here, Monday. DENR 4-A Technical Director Frederico Ocampo tagged the Laguna PPO under the leadership of Senior Supt. Gilberto Cruz as the premier contributor to the campaign against illegal logging. Cruz said they launched the “Adopt a Forest Tree” project and planted at least 20,000 trees as part of tree growing project since he assumed his post last July 2010. (Ferdinand F. Castro)

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — A Philhealth official has considered a plan to put up a maternal and children’s lying-in clinic in Barangay Poblacion Oeste, here, in a bid to reduce maternal and infant deaths. Philhealth OIC Regional Vice President Maricar M. Arzadon said she first heard of the plan to build a maternal and children’s lying-in clinic in the barangay from Mayor Benjamin S. Lim.
