Roads Closed For 'Bourne' Shoot

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Friday the closure of several roads over the weekend as the shooting of the Hollywood action-spy thriller “The Bourne Legacy” rolls over to Manila.

In a traffic advisory, the MMDA said C.M. Recto (from Legarda to Morayta Street) will be closed to traffic between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, although vehicles would be allowed to counter flow on the opposite direction. Motorists coming from Nagtahan Legarda to Avenida via C.M. Recto are told to take a right at Bustillos, right to H. Loyola, left turn to A. Lacson, left turn to España up to C.M. Recto, right to C.M. Recto to point of destination.

If going to the opposite direction (Avenida Legarda to Nagtahan), one must take a left turn to Morayta, España, right turn to Bustillos, left turn to Legarda, to point of destination. “All Public Utility Vehicles must take the usual route and the counter flow along C.M. Recto,” the MMDA said.

On Sunday, February 26, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard from V. Mapa to Pureza Street will be also closed to traffic, according to the agency. Counter flow will also be facilitated on the opposite direction.

The MMDA advised motorists coming from G. Araneta – Aurora Boulevard to Quiapo – Nagtahan to take this alternate routes: Right at Sociego Street, left at Santol Street, right at Buenos Aires, right at Santiago, left at G. Tuazon, left at V.G. Cruz, right at R. Magsaysay, to point of destination. From E. Rodriguez – G. Araneta, right at Bayani Road, left at G. Tuazon, left at V.G. Cruz, right at R. Magsaysay Boulevard, to point of destination. Motorists coming from Nagtahan to Cubao are told to take a right at Pureza, left at Anonas, left to Teresa, to point of destination.
