Sarah Geronimo's Bolder Side Exposed

MANILA, Philippines — Sarah Geronimo – who now has her own solo musical show “Sarah G. Live” premiering tomorrow (Feb. 26 after “Rated K” on ABS-CBN) – promises a “braver, stronger and fiercer” Sarah.

“I’m so excited! At the same time kinakabahan,” Sarah told the press during the recent launch of her show. With Erick Salud as director, the show will have Luis Manzano as Sarah’s co-host, Louie Ocampo as musical director, and Georcille Dapat-Sy as choreographer. Featured regulars also include G Force and Gab Valenciano.

Sarah will share also real-life experiences and never-before-seen “Sarah G. moments” in the show.

Charlie Green Launches New CD

Charlie Green is back and he’s all grown up.

The British-Filipino singing sensation from “Britain’s Got Talent!” is here for the launch of his latest international album “Rainbow” from Viva Records.

Charlie, who turned 15 last Feb. 16, recorded the CD in Italy and the US. Produced by Christian de Walden of Hollywood, “Rainbow” is also set to be released in Europe, South America, the United Kingdom, Japan and China.

Cuts include Nonoy Zuñiga’s “Kumusta Ka?,” Kyu Sakamoto’s “Sukiyaki,” the Spanish “Somos Novios (It’s Impossible),” a duet with 16-year-old Mexican Danna Paola.

’90s Music Served At Big Dome

Blue, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees and a1 serve a ’90s all-hits repertoire at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum today, Feb. 25.

Blue is the band behind “All Rise,” “Too Close,” “If You Come Back,” “Fly By,” “One Love,” “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.”

Meanwhile, a1 has “Like A Rose,” “Take On Me,” “Same Old Brand New You,” “Caught In The Middle” and “Make It Good.”

98 Degrees may have split up years ago, but its unforgettable R&B, soul, urban and contemporary pop sound lives on in vocalist Jeff Timmons. As a group, the band scored hits like “Invisible Man,” “Because Of You,” “The Hardest Thing,” “I Do (Cherish You)” and “My Everything.”

German Films At Rizal Park

For those who missed some of the films in the German Filmfest at Cinema in the Open-Air, you have this weekend (Feb. 25-26) to watch them for free at the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium. Screening starts are 8 p.m.

Featured films are “Lola Rennt (Run, Lola, Run)” to be screened tonight, and “Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others),” to be shown Feb. 26.

The event is a partnership project of the National Parks Development Committee, under Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas, the German Embassy, Goethe Institut and the Film Development Council of the Philippines.

Freddie Edos, the NPDC Cultural & Public Affairs Division Chief is the executive in charge of the project.
