To cope with the All Saints and All Souls' Days traffic surge, Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) on Friday, Oct. 28, reactivated its road safety program, "Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko" (SMSK) at the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) and the CAVITEX C5 Link.
"This year's celebration of Undas season will be different from the past two years as cemeteries, especially in Metro Manila, now reopens and more motorists are expected to ply the roads," says MPT South's President and General Manager Mr. Raul L. Ignacio.
"We are anticipating as much as 10 percent increase in the volume of vehicles that will pass through our toll roads from October 28 to November 2, 2022," he underscored.
From 6AM Friday up to 6AM on Nov. 2, 2022, MPT South toll roads will provide free towing to the nearest exit for Class 1 vehicles needing assistance.

The toll operator is also intensifying 24/7 motorist assistance and will augment the deployment of traffic operations personnel at toll plazas and on the ground to ensure smooth traffic.
CAVITEX Customer Service Centers (Cavite and Manila bound) will be available 24/7 for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) health check, installation, and reloading.
Additional cash lanes for cash-paying motorists will be open to cater to seasonal travelers with no RFIDs.
Emergency medical service, incident response team, and towing services will be placed on high alert status to be able to respond to the motorist in need.
MPT South's Facebook accounts (fb.com/cavitexpressway and fb.com/OfficialCALAX) and Twitter accounts (@CaviteXpressway and @OfficialCALAX) along with its hotline 1-35000 will also be on standby 24/7 to accommodate customer needs.
MPTC's all-in-one MPT DriveHub app supports the SMSK program, providing 24/7 traffic updates and easy access to RFID transactions, reloading, trip planning, and even emergency roadside assistance.
MPT South is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).
Aside from the CALAX and CAVITEX network of toll roads, MPTC’s domestic portfolio includes the concessions for the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the NLEX Connector Road, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) in Cebu.
