Saudi flight returns to airport after passenger leaves her baby at departure terminal

By MB Online A Saudi flight was forced to return to its airport of origin after a passenger left her baby at the terminal. A Kuala Lumpur-bound Saudia flight SV832 turned back after a Saudi mother told cabin crew that she had forgotten her baby in the boarding area at the terminal of the King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Gulf News reported Tuesday. A call being made by the pilot, asking air traffic controllers (ATC) for permission to head back to the airport, was recorded on footage and uploaded on Youtube which went viral “May God be with us. Can we come back or what?” the pilot was heard asking the ATC. “This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing”. The operator then asked the pilot to re-confirm the reason for turning back. “We told you, a passenger left her baby in the terminal and refuses to continue the flight,” the pilot said. “Ok, head back to the gate,” replied the ATC. “This is totally a new one for us!” Meanwhile, no further information yet on how the mother forgot her child in the terminal.
