This party-list teamed up with food bank to aid more hungry Pinoy kids
ANAKALUSUGAN Party-list has partnered with a Tondo, Manila-based food bank in a bid to help more malnourished Filipino children.

“ANAKALUSUGAN commits its resources and our network of volunteers to help Rise Against Hunger (RAH) expand its reach and further alleviate the plight of malnourished, stunted and wasted children in rural areas," said Rep. Ray Florence Reyes in a statement Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 26.
Reyes is the party-list's first nominee in the House of Representatives in the current 19th Congress.
The neophyte congressman recently paid a visit to RAH’s Better World - Tondo multi-service facility, where the food bank stores donated supplies, maintains a community kitchen, operates a health clinic, and feeds children on a daily basis.
“We share the same goals and advocacies of addressing malnutrition of children, improving health conditions in marginalized communities, and respond to health and climate emergencies," he said.
In teaming up with RAH, Reyes says that cooperation is key in protecting the health of children and the community as a whole.
As a concrete step of the cooperative partnership, RAH and ANAKALUSUGAN Party-list will distribute food packs and hygiene kits in select communities affected by Typhoon Karding in five towns of Bulacan.
ANAKALUSUGAN Party-list in the past three weeks conducted medical missions in various communities in the provinces of Batangas, Bulacan and Antique, where almost a thousand beneficiaries received much needed health services such as optical and dental care, blood and other diagnostic tests, and basic medical consultations.
“Kailangan nating makipagtulungan sa gobyerno at pribadong sektor upang tugunan ang patuloy na pag-usbong ng mga bagong hamon sa kalusugan sa mga pamayanan. Hindi tumitigil ang ating paglilingkod sa mga bulwagan ng Kongreso lamang (We need to cooperate with both the government and the private sector to respond to the continuous emergence of challenges against health in the communities. Our service does not end within the halls of Congress)," Reyes said.
The House is currently in a middle of a month-long recess.
