MANILA, Philippines — With her return to Regal Entertainment, expect Jennylyn Mercado’s acting career to flourish. The singer-actress, who became even more in the news since she and Luis Manzano became an item, recently signed a new contract with Regal Films, represented by Mother Lily and her daughter Roselle Monteverde.

Most of Jennylyn’s significant movies were made under Regal Entertainment. These include “Super Noypi,” “E#ternity,” “Blue Moon,” “Say That You Love Me,” and “So Happy Together.”

Jennylyn was last seen in GMA Films’ “Tween Academy Class of 2012” and in the award-winning Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Rosario.” Prior to that, she was Sen. Bong Revilla’s leading lady in the movie “Resiklo,” and was also one of the lead stars in “Working Stars” and “One Night Only.”

Right now, Jennylyn is slowly carving her niche as a TV host. From being a guest co-host in “Showbiz Central,” she is now a regular, and her performance as anchor in GMA-7’s “Protégé” earned rave reviews.
