3 nabbed, P3.4-million shabu confiscated in Taguig buy-bust operation

By Jean Fernando Three persons, including a female overseas Filipino worker, were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by a team composed of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents, and Quezon City and Taguig City police, and confiscated from them P3.4-million worth of shabu Saturday afternoon.

(MANILA BULLETIN) Police identified the suspects as Joel Undong, 30; Zainab Pamansag, 27, an OFW; and Aiza Abdul, 29. Based on the report of the Taguig City police, the three suspects were arrested at about 2:30 p.m. at the FTI Terminal on Arca South, Western Bicutan, Taguig City. The Taguig City police said that, prior to the arrest of the suspects, members of the PDEA and Quezon City police coordinated with them for the conduct of a buy-bust operation against the suspects. It was learned that a policeman-poseur buyer was able to buy one and a half kilo of shabu from the suspects worth P1-million. The police said that, after the suspects handed to the policeman-poseur buyer the shabu amounting to P1-million, they were immediately arrested by the police operatives. Police recovered from the arrested suspects 10 plastic sachets of shabu weighing about 500 grams with a street value of P3.4-million. The suspects were brought by the PDEA to their detention facility and charges of Violation of Section 5 of Article II or violation Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) was filed against them at the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office.
