A magnitude 5.5 earthquake shook Quezon Province in Luzon temporarily stopping LRT, MRT, and PNR trains from operating Friday.

Operations of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) were put on hold according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) shortly after the earthquake was felt in Manila.
Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 trains were also stopped according to their twitter account.
LRTA (Light Rail Transit Authority) Safety and Maintenance personnel were on the scene conducting an inspection of the structures.
LRT 2 resumed operations by 7:16 pm with seven trains and 28 coaches running.
Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Line 3 announced that they were putting the movement of the trains on hold to check its facilities.
By 5 pm, the MRT announced that 14 trains are operational and running.
However, MRT-3 Director Mike Capati halted the operations again by 5:20 pm when an aftershock was felt.
MRT-3 resumed normal operations by 5:29 pm.
